Zygmunt Bauman a Polish born intellectual at the University of Leeds has an interesting approach to Homointerneticus. Google on "Exit Homo Politicus"+Bauman for his article "Exit Homo Politicus, Enter Homo Consumens" . It is long, I fear, 20 pages but worth a look. Its the end of democracy as we know it, he thinks.
